Position Overview
The HR Specialist – Employee Relations is critical in ensuring a compliant, positive work environment while minimizing legal and financial risks. This role focuses on managing employee relations investigations, enforcing company policies, and ensuring compliance with Texas labor laws. You will collaborate with production managers to address employee concerns fairly and consistently, creating a workplace that enhances retention and employee satisfaction.
This position demands a high level of integrity, fairness, and the ability to make unbiased decisions in the best interest of both the company and employees. You’ll also support policy development, training initiatives, and conflict resolution to ensure compliance and equitable treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage employee investigations on issues like harassment, misconduct, and performance, ensuring fairness and legal compliance. Collaborate with production managers to gather facts, document findings, and provide unbiased recommendations. Ensure all investigations are well-documented and align with Texas labor laws.
Assist in developing and enforcing company policies that comply with Texas labor laws and federal regulations. Ensure policies are applied consistently across all levels of the organization, fostering a fair and compliant work environment.
Support the delivery of compliance training for managers on company policies, conflict resolution, and Texas labor laws. Provide ongoing coaching to ensure managers handle employee concerns impartially and according to legal and company standards.
Act as a mediator in resolving conflicts and disputes, applying fairness and integrity. Use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques to prevent escalation and ensure all parties are treated equally.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations, resolutions, and policy enforcement. Prepare reports for leadership on employee relations trends and compliance matters, offering insights to reduce risks and improve employee engagement.
Ensure that all actions taken are compliant with Texas labor laws to protect the company from legal and financial risks. Provide legal and policy guidance to ensure that all employee interactions meet legal requirements and ethical standards.
