Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish) - Front & Back Office

About the clinic

Angeles Medical Clinic is a family-owned primary care practice in downtown LA serving a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient community. We are a small team — you will be hands-on with patients all day and have real ownership of how the front and back office run.

The role

We are hiring one full-time, on-site Bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant to cover both front office and back office at 204 E Pico Blvd. The day moves fast — check-in and phones out front, rooming and clinical work in back — and rewards someone organized who keeps moving without being asked.

What you will do

Greet patients in English and Spanish; manage check-in, phones, and the schedule

Verify insurance, collect copays, and handle referrals and authorizations

Room patients; take vitals and history; document in our EMR

Perform venipuncture and skin-puncture blood draws

Administer injections and vaccinations as directed by the provider

Stock and sterilize exam rooms; keep supplies on hand

Requirements

Medical Assistant license or certification (proof of MA program completion)

At least 3 years of MA experience in the last 5 years, in primary care or outpatient

Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written

Comfortable and confident performing blood draws (no phlebotomy certificate required)

Strong EMR/EHR and computer skills

Independent, experienced, hard-working, intelligent, and organized — someone who genuinely cares about the work and the success of the practice

Nice to have

Retail, hospitality, or other customer-conversion or sales background. The front office is the first voice prospective patients hear, and experience converting inquiries to booked appointments, explaining cash-pay options clearly, and recovering no-shows is a real plus. Not a commission role.

Schedule and pay

Full-time, on-site at 204 E Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

No overnight shifts

$22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. Certified MAs (CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMA) start at the top of the range.
