Summary

As a Medical Records Clerk at Community Health Services, Inc., you will play a vital role in managing patient records and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of medical information. This position is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare and supporting our commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize patient medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Assist healthcare providers with accessing and updating medical records as needed.
  • Process requests for medical records from patients and authorized entities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication regarding patient information.
  • Perform regular audits of medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations related to medical recordkeeping.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing medical records within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare staff.
  • Must be Spanish speaking
