Position Summary
Connections That Matter, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Mental Health Therapist / Clinical Assessor to provide comprehensive clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy services.
This role includes conducting diagnostic evaluations and delivering therapy services across telehealth, office-based, and community-based settings, with telehealth as a primary modality.
This is a 1099 contractual position offering flexibility, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment recommendations
- Provide individual, family, and group outpatient therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
- Deliver services via telehealth, office, home, school, and community-based settings as appropriate
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and adjust services based on clinical needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, caregivers, schools, and community providers
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, billing)
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, COMAR, and CTM standards
- Adhere to all ethical and professional guidelines
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active Maryland license: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (assessments and psychotherapy)
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – REQUIRED
Work Environment & Schedule
- Hybrid: telehealth, community-based, and optional office-based services
- Flexible scheduling (daytime, evening, and limited weekend availability)
- Telehealth is the primary service modality
