Bilingual Ophthalmic Scribe (Spanish)

The groups medical expertise, which is available at five convenient locations, covers the spectrum of eye care and specialties including: routine eye exams, cataracts, glaucoma, corneal transplants, retina-vitreous care, pediatrics, laser vision correction, and plastic surgery of the eyelids.

We are currently seeking a hardworking, motivated Ophthalmic Scribe for our Ophthalmologist. This is an excellent career opportunity for a responsible individual who is committed to building a future and growing with our practice. This is a full-time position.

Schedule: M-F 8:15 am - 5:15 pm Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Life Products and 401 (K)

Must be able to perform the following responsibilities:

• Anticipate physicians needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
• Ensure examination rooms are properly supplied for clinic
• Accurate ICD10 and CPT coding
• Documentation of patient visits on EMR
• Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, symptoms, surgery scheduling, etc.
• Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies as directed by physician.
• Schedule lab and MRI tests
• Schedule appointments
• Assist in clinic as an Ophthalmic Assistant as needed
• Perform other various duties as assigned

• Bilingual is preferred but not required
• Excellent Communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Quick and efficient

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Drivers License
• Must Travel to our Astoria and Southwest location, and travel to other three locations when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
