Bilingual Optometric Assistant / Scribe

Berkeley Eye Center's Katy location is accepting resumes for the position of Optometric Scribe.

The person in this position will be responsible for assisting the Optometrist during the patient exam by documenting the exam (test results, doctor's Q & A, doctor's instructions, etc.) in the Electronic Medical Record.

Eye care experience required but training can be provided to complete the skill set. A good fit for this position is a bilingual (English/Spanish) person who has 3+ years' experience in a vision care practice and is familiar with "vision care " terminology. Outgoing, engaging personality, able to multi-task, change priorities as need arises. Strong data entry skills, Excellent communicator, reliable, punctual, honest.

Berkeley Eye Center has 26 clinics and 3 surgery centers in the Greater Houston Area & Corpus Christi, providing a wide range of vision care services including routine vision exams, outpatient cataract and retina surgery, LASIK, Optical and much more.

Anticipated Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm
Tuesday: 7:30 am – 4 pm
Friday: 7 am – 1 pm
