Bilingual Paralegal (Creole/French)

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Paralegal fluent in Creole and French to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with legal research, document review, and drafting of legal documents across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, and more
  • Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage, PCLaw, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools
  • Conduct client interviews in Creole and French to gather relevant information and ensure clear communication
  • Support project management efforts by organizing case materials, tracking deadlines, and coordinating meetings
  • Prepare and proofread legal correspondence, contracts, pleadings, and reports with precision and attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate data entry and filing systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, and handling clerical tasks such as transcription and document formatting

Experience

  • Proven paralegal experience or equivalent in a law office setting with exposure to diverse practice areas such as securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers’ compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, or litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence in both Creole/French and English
  • Familiarity with legal administrative tools like iManage, PCLaw, Document Management Systems (DMS), Data Entry software, and case management platforms
  • Effective interviewing skills in Creole/French to facilitate client interactions
  • Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), estate planning procedures, environmental regulations, family law procedures, securities regulations, tribal laws & regulations, patent processes, and other specialized areas is highly desirable
  • Ability to proofread documents meticulously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity
