Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in personal injury cases, utilizing your bilingual skills to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals in both English and Spanish. Your expertise will help streamline case management, conduct legal research, draft documents, and assist attorneys throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and reviewing legal documents, evidence, and client files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and other relevant fields like estate planning, environmental law, or tribal law when needed.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for case development while maintaining professional phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Manage case files efficiently by filing documents electronically and physically, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients and external parties through effective communication in both English and Spanish to facilitate case progress.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks including calendaring deadlines, data entry, proofreading documents, transcription work, and maintaining case management systems like Westlaw or LexisNexis for legal research.
Experience
- Paralegal experience in a busy law office or legal environment with exposure to personal injury law preferred.
- Proven ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is highly desirable.
- Experience working across diverse practice areas including workers' compensation law, family law, landlord-tenant law, or securities law is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required; excellent communication skills are essential for interviewing clients and drafting bilingual documents.
- Knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, filing procedures, data entry, and document management systems like iManage is preferred. Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,973.19 per year
