Bilingual Physical Therapy Aide

Physical Therapy (PT) Aide- Bilingual

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bilingual Spanish/English speaking Physical Therapy (PT) Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess proficient computer skills, a strong understanding of basic protocols, and the ability to problem-solve effectively. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist patients in applying heat packs, paraffin dips, and onto exercise equipment.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patients on equipment.
  • Ensure the operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and informing the manager of repairs.
  • Maintain physical therapy supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proper grammar and writing capability.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and perform under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English required.
