BILINGUAL PROJECT ENGINEER

POSITION SUMMARY

CTX Construction Systems LLC is seeking a driven, bilingual (English/Spanish) Project Engineer to support active Walmart remodel and construction projects across multiple locations. This role is central to keeping our job sites on schedule, our subcontractors informed, and our materials flowing — all while maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication up and down the chain.

This is a field-facing, fast-paced role that requires someone comfortable moving between office coordination work and on-site presence. Approximately 25% of the time will involve travel to active Walmart job sites across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Change Order Management

• Track, prepare, and submit change orders in coordination with each General Contractor’s project management system
• Coordinate scope changes with subcontractors and document all modifications
• Develop material takeoffs for each approved change order and procure required materials through CTX’s supplier network (Home Depot, FMB, and others)
• Maintain change order log across all 12+ active job locations

Material Planning & Procurement

• Develop and manage material takeoffs for each project
• Place and follow up on purchase orders with suppliers including Home Depot, FMB, and others
• Track deliveries and ensure materials arrive on site ahead of scheduled work
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve order discrepancies promptly

Field Communication & Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking foremen on all active sites
• Communicate daily with CTX subcontractor foremen to confirm material availability and work readiness
• Liaise with GC superintendents to verify schedules are being met and flag any delays proactively
• Attend site visits as needed (approx. 25% travel to Walmart locations in the region)

Documentation & App Compliance

• Ensure foremen and field crews submit required data and photos through CompanyCam and other project management platforms
• Follow up on incomplete or missing submissions and maintain accurate daily records
• Support internal reporting requirements for project progress, materials usage, and schedule status

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish — written and verbal (required, not preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, project management, or procurement
• Demonstrated experience placing and managing purchase orders with material suppliers
• Strong organizational skills — ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping details
• Comfortable using project management apps and mobile tools (CompanyCam, or similar)
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites (~25% of work schedule)

Preferred

• Experience with Walmart remodel or big-box retail construction projects
• Familiarity with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar GC platforms
• Background in carpentry, painting, or general trades (helpful for material planning)
• Experience working with or supervising independent subcontractors

6+ yrs $82,000 – $95,000

We are targeting the Project Engineer level ($70,000–$82,000) for the right bilingual candidate with construction procurement experience. Benefits package to be discussed during the interview process.
