Bilingual Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner or PA

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner or Psych Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse patient population. You will work collaboratively with Psychologist, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality mental health services. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology and psychotherapy techniques.
  • Administer medications, including injections and oral prescriptions, following best practices and safety protocols.
  • Manage medication refills, monitor treatment progress, and adjust plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex mental health needs, including those in assisted living or memory care settings.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Practice Fusion for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
  • Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care across diverse populations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings, with familiarity in acute care environments such as hospitals or emergency rooms preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with psychopharmacology, including medication management for mood disorders, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations related to mental health conditions.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations such as children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to telehealth platforms and EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth enhances service delivery capabilities.

Pay: $65,164.20 - $110,000.00 per year
