Bilingual (Spanish) Family/Matrimonial Paralegal w. 3YRS Experience (Full-Time 9A-5P)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bilingual (Spanish) Family/Matrimonial Paralegal with at least three years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. This full-time role offers a structured 9 AM to 5 PM schedule, providing an excellent opportunity to support complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody, alimony, Name change (Adults and Children), Wills, pre-nuptial agreements, and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal research skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to managing case files and client communications. Your expertise will help ensure smooth case progression while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys with preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements for family and matrimonial cases
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Manage case files efficiently using Cosmolex, USCMS, NYSCEF, and EDDS. Ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Review and organize legal documents, contracts, and evidence for litigation purposes
  • Interview clients to gather pertinent information related to family law matters and document details accurately
  • Draft correspondence, legal summaries, and reports with clear attention to detail and proper proofreading standards
  • Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and communicate with courts, clients, and other parties professionally
  • Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and general clerical tasks to ensure seamless office operations
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information while adhering to legal protocols in document review and case management
  • Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in drafting divorce packages, discovery demands, and trial evidence preparation

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of paralegal experience specializing in family or matrimonial law is required
  • Proven expertise in Family and Matrimonial Law, civil, family and supreme court filings procedures and protocols
  • Experience supporting litigation processes, including document review, legal drafting, proofreading and transcription
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research across multiple practice areas in family law and matrimonial law
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Exceptional written communication skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence
  • Strong interviewing skills to effectively gather client information and assist attorneys in case preparation
  • Prior administrative experience supporting a busy law office environment with attention to detail in filing and data entry

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
