Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Spanish Speaking Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across various legal practice areas, ensuring smooth case management and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Your bilingual skills will be essential in assisting Spanish-speaking clients, translating legal documents, and facilitating clear, accurate interactions. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research, case preparation, and document review across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, and more.
- Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw; ensure all records are current and properly filed.
- Conduct client interviews in both English and Spanish to gather relevant information efficiently and professionally.
- Support litigation processes by preparing discovery materials, coordinating depositions, and tracking case deadlines.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case activities using legal case management software like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries with excellent etiquette.
Skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, litigation procedures, and contract drafting.
- Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; ability to efficiently locate relevant case law and statutes.
- Experience with legal administrative systems such as MyCase, E-File, Court websites, and data entry platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client information in a sensitive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, proofreading, transcription, and document management with accuracy.
- Strong project management capabilities to coordinate tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of UCC law related to secured transactions; familiarity with legal writing skills for drafting clear legal documents.
- Ability to provide executive administrative support when needed and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
