Duties

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with enthusiasm, providing accurate information about dental services, appointments, and insurance coverage in both Spanish and English
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently using computer-based scheduling systems
  • Collect and verify patient data, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information through precise data entry
  • Assist patients with inquiries regarding dental procedures, billing, and payment options while maintaining professionalism and empathy
  • Follow up with patients as needed to confirm appointments or gather additional information to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, appointment logs, and communication notes in compliance with confidentiality standards
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to foster trust and satisfaction among diverse patient populations

Skills

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dental care to accurately assist patients and understand their needs
  • Proficiency in computer skills including data entry, electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling software
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with a friendly demeanor and active listening skills
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette best practices to handle inquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Previous experience in a medical office or dental call center setting is highly desirable
  • Strong analysis skills to identify patient needs quickly and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues as necessary
