Senior/Mid-Level Accountant (Bilingual Chinese/English)

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of public accounting experience. You will play a key role in managing client accounts, preparing complex tax returns, and ensuring our workflow remains efficient and accurate. This is a position for someone who thinks ahead and takes ownership of their work rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review individual and business tax returns （1065, 1120, 1120S, 5472, etc..) . You should be comfortable auditing your own work and potentially reviewing the work of staff.
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage bookkeeping, payroll, and the preparation of detailed work papers.
• Client Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for our client base, the majority of whom are Chinese-speaking.
• IRS Correspondence: Assist in communicating with the IRS and other tax authorities on behalf of clients.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years in public accounting is required.
• Software: Prior experience with Lacerte is preferred.
• Language: Must be fully bilingual (Chinese and English) with professional proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
• Mindset: Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
• Certification (A Plus): Current candidates for CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) licensure are highly encouraged to apply and will stand out.
