Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation among students.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments.
• Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development, including special education services and early childhood education initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in accordance with education administration policies.
• Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to foster professional growth within the school community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, childhood development, literacy education, and teaching physical education.

Skills

• Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged students in diverse educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development principles across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Proficiency in working with learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance lessons.
• Expertise in classroom management techniques that promote a respectful learning environment.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs through tutoring or specialized interventions.
• Experience working with children with special needs or in early childhood education programs like Montessori or private school settings.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies to monitor student achievement.
• Skills in behavior management strategies that foster positive classroom dynamics.
• Familiarity with library services or integrating library resources into lesson plans for literacy enhancement.
