Located in Southwest Michigan, we are a FQHC providing quality health care to the uninsured and underinsured. Our mission is to provide compassionate healthcare to people in our communities.

We are seeking a new Billing Representative I to join our team. As a Billing Rep I, you would be responsible for submitting accurate insurance claims to third party payers in a timely manner to ensure appropriate payments.

What You Will Do

  • · Work with patients and guarantors to secure payment on outstanding account balances through payment plans or other payment arrangements.
  • · Corrects billing errors and data omissions, contacting the Clinic(s) or patient/guarantor for additional information.
  • · Works the Request for Review/Aging Report to review all unpaid bills.
  • · Contacts insurances at 30-and 60-days to check on status of claim, and resubmit if required.
  • · Posts payments made either by insurance, patients, or other sources to the appropriate account.
  • · Ensure that the information posted electronically via ERA is correct.
  • · Performs collections work on account at 90 days +.
  • · Ensures notes pertaining to account activity are clear and concise.
  • · Responds quickly and professionally to all customers, (third party payors, physicians, employers, etc.) in a timely and professional manner. Understands billing manuals and tools for rejections for third party payers.
  • · Resolves credit balances determining the correct refund payer.
  • · Data collection for UDS and/or Cost Report.

Pay: $18.57 - $27.52 per hour
