About Us

Chances & Dreams Therapy is a growing pediatric therapy clinic dedicated to providing high-quality ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy services to children and families. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Virtual Credentialing & Medical Billing Specialist to join our team and help ensure the financial success and operational efficiency of our practice.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and experienced in working independently with minimal supervision.

Job ResponsibilitiesCredentialing & Provider Enrollment

• Complete initial credentialing and recredentialing applications.
• Enroll providers and the organization with commercial insurance plans and Medicaid.
• Maintain and update CAQH profiles and provider information.
• Track credentialing applications and follow up with insurance companies.
• Assist with payer contracting and provider enrollment updates.
• Maintain organized credentialing files and ensure compliance with payer requirements.

Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Management

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Submit electronic claims for ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy services.
• Monitor claim status and resolve claim rejections and denials.
• Submit corrected claims and appeals as needed.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Monitor accounts receivable and aging reports.
• Track authorizations and ensure services are billed within approved limits.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding billing and authorization issues.
• Work with clinic leadership to maximize reimbursement and reduce outstanding balances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and/or provider credentialing.
• Experience with ABA billing is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Speech and Occupational Therapy billing is highly desirable.
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
• Familiarity with CAQH, NPI enrollment, provider enrollment, and insurance credentialing processes.
• Strong understanding of CPT codes, modifiers, authorizations, denials, appeals, and revenue cycle management.
• Experience using the Rethink practice management platform is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and insurance provider portals.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-specialty pediatric therapy billing.
• Knowledge of Texas Medicaid and commercial payer guidelines.
• Ability to identify workflow improvements and increase reimbursement efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
