Billing Coordinator – IVF / Fertility Clinic

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Bilingual - Spanish Speaking Billing Coordinator to join our growing fertility clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, insurance verification, and patient financial counseling—preferably within reproductive medicine or women’s health. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing processes and providing clear financial guidance to patients undergoing fertility treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits, including fertility coverage and IVF benefits
• Obtain prior authorizations for fertility treatments and procedures
• Review and submit claims to insurance carriers accurately and timely
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
• Post payments and reconcile accounts
• Communicate patient financial responsibility clearly and compassionately
• Prepare treatment cost estimates and review financial agreements with patients
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper coding and documentation
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and insurance regulations
• Assist patients with payment plans and financing options

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience (fertility or OB/GYN experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and fertility-specific coding
• Experience with IVF cycle billing is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with empathy
• Proficiency in EMR and billing software

Schedule

• Need flexibility ( Office hours Monday through Saturday 7AM-3PM )

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
