Job Summary
The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing client bills, subcontractor bills, quantity verification, and ensuring accurate project cost tracking. The role involves coordinating with site engineers, planning teams, and accounts to ensure timely and accurate billing as per contract terms.
Key Responsibilities1. Client Billing
- Prepare and submit RA (Running Account) bills as per contract terms.
- Verify executed quantities with reference to drawings and site measurements.
- Coordinate with the client/consultant for bill certification.
- Track certification and payment status.
2. Subcontractor Billing
- Verify subcontractor work quantities.
- Prepare and process subcontractor RA bills.
- Ensure bills align with BOQ and work orders.
- Maintain records of advances and deductions.
3. Quantity Take-Off & Measurement
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Maintain measurement sheets and billing registers.
- Reconcile executed quantities with BOQ quantities.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain billing trackers and cost reports.
- Support preparation of variation claims and extra item statements.
- Assist in rate analysis for new items.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning, QA/QC, and Site teams for work progress data.
- Support commercial team in contract administration.
- Attend client meetings related to billing and payments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in billing for construction projects.
- Knowledge of BOQ, contracts, and tender documents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
