Billing Executive

Job Summary:

The Billing Executive is responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing patient bills accurately and efficiently. The role ensures proper documentation, coordination with departments, and adherence to hospital billing policies to maintain transparency and timely revenue collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process patient bills (inpatient, outpatient, diagnostics, pharmacy, procedures, etc.) accurately and on time.
• Verify patient details, doctor charges, service entries, and departmental inputs before final billing.
• Coordinate with various departments (nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, etc.) for charge entries and clarifications.
• Handle cash, card, UPI, and insurance transactions with accuracy and accountability.
• Generate daily collection reports and submit them to the finance/accounts department.
• Process insurance and credit bills as per TPA / corporate agreements.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and audit requirements.
• Assist patients and attendants with billing-related queries courteously and professionally.
• Maintain records of invoices, receipts, and supporting documents systematically.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and correct any errors promptly.
• Support in periodic audits and revenue monitoring activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient financial data.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Graduate in Commerce / Accounting / Hospital Administration or related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in hospital billing or healthcare finance.

Skills:

• Proficiency in hospital billing software and MS Office.
• Good understanding of TPA/insurance processes.
• Excellent numerical and data entry accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask efficiently.
• Customer service orientation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
