Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will prepare and process orders and invoices, maintain accurate billing records, and help ensure timely and accurate customer billing. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers, and able to communicate professionally with customers and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare job orders from requests incoming by mail/shipping, email, as well as walk-in customers
  • Prepare, review, and issue invoices accurately and on time.
  • Maintain billing records and update customer account information.
  • Verify billing data and resolve discrepancies or errors.
  • Respond to billing questions from customers and team members in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with accounting and administrative staff to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting coursework is a plus.
  • Previous billing, bookkeeping, accounting, or office experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with accounting or billing software is preferred.
  • Good math, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
