Billing Specialist/Accounts Receivable

As a Medical Billing Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be to provide medical claim processing including claims review, submission, payment processing and accounts receivable management for three optometrists and three ophthalmologists.

Medical billing personnel are expected to be proactive, self-motivated and engaged in creating a positive work environment.

Requirements

-More than 2 years of medical billing experience - required

We are willing to consider applicants with relevant experience in lieu of medical billing experience (ie bank or financial experience and/or data entry).

-At least 1 year of ophthalmology billing experience - highly preferred

- Ability to deliver excellent customer service

- High level of organization and time management skills

-Experience working with Nextech is preferred

Description

We are seeking a billing specialist that:

-Performs ophthalmology medical billing, coding and accounts receivables tasks.

-Understands how to interpret aging reports, denials, and EOBs.

- Actively seeks knowledge and necessary information to process claims in an efficient and timely manner while limiting errors.

-Manages the aging reports and closely monitors balances. Takes action and investigates issues when the clinic isn't getting paid in a timely manner.

-Strives to provide the highest level of service and accuracy in all tasks.

- Responds quickly to meet client and account needs and resolves problems in a timely and appropriate manner.

-Regularly relays financial information to management and physicians. Is a self-starter who will routinely run reports and follow up on discrepancies.

-Has strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Is goal oriented, has attention to detail, and is highly motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
