Billing/Compliance RN or LPN

Southeast Neuroscience Center is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a full-time Billing and Compliance role. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and proper reimbursement within our neurology practice.

Position Summary

The Billing/Compliance Nurse will work closely with providers, billing staff, and administrative leadership to support accurate coding, documentation integrity, payer compliance, and regulatory standards specific to neurology services.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and audit clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations
• Collaborate with billing department to support appropriate coding and reimbursement
• Assist with prior authorizations and medical necessity documentation
• Conduct internal chart audits and compliance reviews
• Provide education to providers and staff on documentation best practices
• Monitor updates in healthcare regulations and payer requirements
• Support preparation for audits and accreditation reviews

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (neurology experience preferred)
• Experience in medical billing, coding, or compliance strongly preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, and payer guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency with EMR systems

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
