Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive BIM Coordinator to support the delivery and coordination of BIM processes within our Transportation team. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing BIM workflows, ensuring model accuracy, and facilitating collaboration across multidisciplinary design teams. This position focuses on maintaining compliance with project BIM standards, enhancing coordination efficiency, and supporting the seamless integration of digital design processes in alignment with ISO 19650 and client requirements.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and execution of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and related documentation under the direction of the BIM Manager.

Maintain discipline-specific BIM models in accordance with the approved Model Division Strategy, naming conventions, and data classification systems.

Coordinate and integrate models from multiple disciplines (e.g., Roads, Wet Utilities, Dry Utilities, Structures) to ensure consistency and quality in the federated model.

Conduct clash detection and issue management using tools such as Navisworks and BIMcollab, ensuring timely reporting and resolution tracking.

Perform model quality checks to verify compliance with LOD, LOI, BEP, and project information standards.

Produce model-based deliverables, including drawings, visualizations, and data exports, ensuring alignment with client and project requirements.

Maintain the project’s BIM library in full compliance with client requirements.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and BIM Managers to ensure model coordination aligns with design intent and project milestones.

Prepare and participate in BIM coordination and design review meetings, recording issues and ensuring follow-up actions are implemented.

Support data extraction, quantity take-offs, and 4D/5D readiness as required for project deliverables.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
-
5+ years of experience in Infrastructure / Roads & Transportation projects, with at least 2 years in a BIM coordination capacity.

Proven experience coordinating BIM models within multidisciplinary teams.
-
Sound knowledge of ISO 19650 principles, EIR/BEP implementation, and CDE management.
-
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, InfraWorks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
-
Working knowledge of IFC, COBie.

Experience performing clash detection, data validation, and model QA/QC.

Strong understanding of road design processes and infrastructure documentation workflows.
-
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Ability to handle multiple coordination tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Dynamo scripting and Civil 3D API for automation.

Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads or MX Road software.

Exposure to GIS integration workflows.

Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Lumion, Twinmotion, InfraWorks rendering).

BIM certification (e.g., ISO 19650 Practitioner, Autodesk Certified Professional, or equivalent).
