Bim Designer

LUMGallery is an architectural lighting design – Mumbai (Kharghar ) Studio working on high-end residential, commercial, infrastructure and large-scale facade projects. We focus on precision, detailing, control integration and international design standards.

We are expanding and looking for a mid-scale BIM Designer who understands lighting coordination beyond just drafting.

The BIM Designer will be responsible for:

• Developing lighting BIM models (LOD 200–300)
• Coordinating with MEP, Architecture & Facade teams
• Creating detailed shop drawings & technical documentation
• Supporting lighting control layouts and integration drawings
• Clash detection & coordination review

Experience

• 2–3 years experience in BIM modelling, lighting / MEP / architectural coordination
• Lighting experience preferred
• Experience on commercial, infrastructure or facade projects

Software Expertise

• Revit (Advanced)
• AutoCAD (Advanced)
• Navisworks (Clash Detection)
• Dialux / Relux knowledge (preferred)
• Basic understanding of lighting control systems (DALI, 0–10V)

• Lighting families created by candidate

2️ Technical Drawing Sheets

• Lighting layout plans
• Sections showing ceiling coordination
• Mounting details (cove, recessed, facade)
• Lighting BOQ extraction sheets

3️ Coordination Experience

• Clash detection screenshots (Navisworks)
• RCP + MEP coordination drawings
• Evidence of site coordination drawings

4️ Family Creation Work

• Custom Revit lighting families
• Nested family examples
• Adjustable photometric families

5️ Lighting Control Integration

• DALI loop drawings
• Sensor layouts
• Panel & driver coordination

• Understanding of:
• Beam angles

• Driver positioning

• Maintenance clearances
• Ability to interpret:
• IES files
• Luminaire datasheets
• Lighting calculations

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Revit models for lighting packages
• Develop detailed mounting drawings
• Support design team with visualization-ready models
• Coordinate with site & vendor teams
• Extract BOQ and schedules accurately
• Assist in mock-up drawing preparation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹272,424.77 - ₹360,000.00 per year
