Bindery Trainee

Job Summary:

Assist Binder Operator in maintaining schedules and quality while performing all trainee duties as directed by the General Plant Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Replenish binder pockets as necessary during the production run.
• Complete the staging process including verification of cover, folding status, F&G approval status, and job jackets.
• Assist Collator, Trimmer, and other Bindery personnel as required.
• Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPEs, Ergonomics, etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
• Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Flexible and organized with attention to detail
• Attentive to deadlines and schedules issued by customers (internal and external)
• Good math skills

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience working in manufacturing

• Good mechanical aptitude

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing on production floor
• Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
