Job Description:

The Tech III will be responsible for assigned duties that promote the safety and well-being of all patients, visitors, and staff by maintaining the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment. In addition, this individual will document repairs, and perform safety checks and preventive measures. This position will be eligible for the on-call rotation.Education: Required: Associate’s Degree in a related field OR completion of Military Biomedical training program OR an Associate’s Degree or higher in an unrelated field and CBET certification OR 7 years Biomed equipment maintenance experience. Required: Completion of seven manufacturer-level seminars. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Technology Experience: Required: Five years Biomed experience Skills: • Use of common hand tools. • Use of PC and data entry skills. • Use of test equipment. • Knowledge of electronic theory and safety procedures. • Ability to utilize manufacturer’s service and operators manuals and other documentation • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair basic electronic and electromechanical equipment. • Self-directed, strong attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Strong ability to reason logically and critically. • Ability to maintain confidentiality with the highest degree of integrity and discretion. • Strong organizational skills including effective time management and ability to set/reset priorities accordingly and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. • Demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing to hospital staff, vendors, patients and patient’s families. • Exceptional customer relation skills.
