Schedules, coordinates, executes, and serves as the liaison for external projects to generate polyclonal antibody serum inventory
Implements effective immunization programs to maximize immune response
Maintains professional & timely relationships with external vendors
Conducts required immunoassay testing & processing on received materials to ensure quality standards are being met
Manufactures sub-assembly items as required
Organizes & maintains physical and virtual antibody inventories
Ensures antibody quality, stability, and specificity are maintained through proper storage & handling
Stays abreast of advancements in the fields of vaccine science, immunology, and antibody science through continuous learning
Under the direction of the Biological Materials Production Manager, significantly contributes to scientific projects for improving the application of antibody materials in current and potential product lines
Maintains accurate work records and assists with document revisions when necessary
Effectively communicates with others, is approachable, has a positive and flexible attitude, displays a strong work ethic, time management skills, and demonstrates the ability and desire for professional development
Complies with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and regulatory standards
Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field
Minimum of four years of experience working in a wet lab
Proficiency in basic laboratory skills:
pipetting, aseptic technique, buffer preparation, gel electrophoresis, titrations, immunoassays
Strong teamwork, collaboration, organization, and communication
Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or a related field
Experience in polyclonal antibody production, immunogen preparation, or protein characterization
Experience in project management
Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques & dry lab skills
BLS-2 Experience
