Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical and clinical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine safety inspections
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete timely repairs
- Maintain accurate service records, logs, and compliance documentation
- Ensure equipment meets hospital, manufacturer, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, Joint Commission)
- Respond promptly to equipment service calls and emergencies
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and parts procurement
- Educate clinical staff on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting
- Support equipment audits and accreditation inspections
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Proven experience as a Biomedical Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical devices, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with healthcare safety and regulatory requirements
- Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation
