Role Overview

We are looking for a Biotechnology Director to lead and manage our biotechnology operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in biotech research, product development, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for shaping Vervegen’s scientific vision, driving innovation, and ensuring successful commercialization of biotechnology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement biotechnology strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee research, development, and commercialization of biotech products.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, safety regulations, and ethical practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and marketing teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Monitor KPIs, market trends, and scientific advancements to identify opportunities.
• Manage budgets, resources, and partnerships with academic and industry stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor biotechnology teams, fostering innovation and accountability.
• Represent Vervegen in scientific forums, conferences, and professional networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field (PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in biotechnology research or product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of biopharmaceuticals, agricultural biotech, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record of managing successful biotech projects and product launches.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Pay: Up to KD3,400.000 per month
