Summary:
This part-time position is responsible for effectively assisting food and beverage services and execution of regular bistro hours and events by way of set-up, service, clean-up, clear communication and teamwork while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence. This position coordinates with the Bistro & Events Manager.
Essential functions:
- Communicate with guests about their order in a friendly and sincere manner
- Provide a friendly experience for every customer, upholding hospitality standards
- Interact with other service and cooking staff to ensure speedy and effective operations so guests receive their food as quickly and accurately as possible
- Prepare dishes in kitchen for certain shifts as needed
- Handle food carefully and responsibly, following safe food handling practices.
- Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism in accordance with dress code
- Set up buffets for events with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling
- Run food from the kitchen to bistro or event room
- Adhere to all applicable laws when serving alcohol
- Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
- Maintain positive and professional attitude
- Clean kitchen and event space after event ends and assist with food storage and other closeout tasks
Physical demands:
- Stand/walk/on feet 6-8 hours of an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to lift 35lbs
Preferred education and experience:
- 1 year serving experience

- Carries a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor permit
