Job Summary
Earn $100 per class, depending on availability We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality CPR and first aid training to diverse groups, including healthcare professionals, students, and community members. This role requires strong communication skills, expertise in adult education, and the ability to create engaging lesson plans. The BLS Instructor will play a vital role in promoting life-saving skills and ensuring participants are confident in their ability to respond effectively during emergencies. Also, must have a Red Cross certification all certifications are welcome. We are looking for Instructors to teach classes in multiple locations. Instructors earn $100 per class.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive BLS, CPR, and first aid training sessions in accordance with established guidelines.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to different audiences, including adults and healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate engaging classroom experiences that promote active learning and retention of skills.
- Assess participant performance through practical demonstrations and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current CPR, first aid protocols, and instructional best practices.
- Ensure all training equipment and materials are prepared and maintained for each session.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, discussion, and confidence-building.
- Stay informed about industry standards, certification requirements, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching CPR, first aid, or related health education courses.
- Lifeguard experience or background in swimming is preferred but not required.
- Strong lesson planning skills with the ability to adapt content for various audiences.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage adult learners effectively.
- Certification in CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers or equivalent is required; current First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in adult education or classroom instruction is preferred.
- Public speaking skills that facilitate clear instruction and confident presentation delivery.
