BMS Engineer

· Design and Implement BMS: Design and implement complex Building Management Systems (BMS) and building controls. This includes dealing with, selecting, and integrating controllers, sensors, actuators, and other components to ensure optimal operation, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.

· Develop, Track & Program Control Systems: Develop, Track, and program control system software using logic and programming languages relevant to BMS platforms, especially Niagara Platform Tridium).

· Low-Current Systems Integration: Integrate BMS with low-current systems such as fire alarm systems to create a unified and efficient building operation system.

· Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve BMS issues, diagnosing problems with hardware, software, and network communications to minimize downtime. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of building control systems.

· Commissioning & Testing: Conduct thorough system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality, seamless integration, and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled engineer who is passionate about building automation and smart building technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in control systems engineering and a proven track record of working and maintaining complex building management systems in the Niagara N4 Platform.

2-4 years of hands-on experience in building automation and control systems.

• Proven experience with BMS programming and configuration.
• Demonstrated experience with the integration of low-current systems like fire alarms, security, and access control.
• Experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of building control systems.
• Proficiency in BMS software platforms, especially Niagara 4, where knowledge of Trend Systems is a Plus.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and energy management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex system issues.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and building blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
