The BMS Systems Engineer is responsible for operating, configuring, and optimizing the company’s Building Management System (BMS) based on Johnson Controls technology (Metasys or FX) and its integrated subsystems.
This role ensures the reliability and performance of all automated systems, including HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and energy metering.
The engineer acts as the technical authority for BMS operations, leading system improvements, integrations, and vendor coordination to support efficient and smart building performance across company projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate, configure, and maintain the Johnson Controls BMS to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Monitor alarms, graphics, logic sequences, and trend logs for accurate system operation.
  • Integrate and maintain connections with HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, access control, and energy systems.
  • Plan and implement system upgrades, enhancements, and network reliability improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain updated backups and documentation.
  • Lead technical reviews and support commissioning for BMS-related works.
  • Evaluate vendor submittals, as-built drawings, and compliance with company standards.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify performance issues and energy optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare technical reports and KPIs for management review.
  • Maintain accurate system records, schematics, and configuration documentation.
  • Train and support maintenance and operations teams on BMS functionality and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Building Management Systems with direct Johnson Controls expertise.
  • Strong technical skills in BMS configuration, programming, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, fire, and metering system integration.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, and OPC.
  • Experience with system architecture, controllers, and field devices.
  • Proficiency in Johnson Controls Metasys UI, configuration tools, SCADA or CAFM platforms, and Excel or Power BI.
  • Certification in Johnson Controls Metasys or equivalent BMS platforms (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication, Arabic is an advantage.
