Position Overview

As a BCBA with Emergent Learning Hawaiʻi, you will design, implement, and oversee individualized ABA treatment programs while mentoring behavior technicians and collaborating with families and community partners.

Our compensation system allows clinicians to determine the number of billable hours they would like to maintain each week. Salary is adjusted accordingly to ensure fairness and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral assessments including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and functional analyses
  • Design and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs
  • Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavior technicians
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Review and analyze client data to guide treatment decisions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation including treatment plans, reports, and progress updates
  • Participate in client meetings such as IEPs, IFSPs, ISPs, and other care planning sessions
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with ethical guidelines, insurance requirements, and Hawaiʻi licensure regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • Hawaiʻi Behavior Analyst License (or eligibility to obtain licensure immediately)
  • Experience conducting behavioral assessments and developing ABA treatment programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Reliable transportation for travel within Oʻahu (neighbor island travel may be optional depending on caseload)

Preferred qualifications include prior experience supervising RBTs or behavior technicians.

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Physical requirements may include the ability to implement behavioral intervention procedures, assist with crisis management strategies, and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary. Training is provided.
