School Psychology Specialist
Department: Special Services

Reports To: Director of Special Services

190-day contract, works Monday through Friday, minimum of 8-hours per day, working hours are set by the Director of Special Services
POSITION SUMMARY
Works to support the success of students academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Collaborates with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. Identifies and assesses the learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Provides interventions to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning and adjustment. Assists in the planning, development, and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustment needs. Delivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological services.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Master’s degree; Valid Arkansas Teacher’s License with certification in School Psychology P-12 (#316), Must be a licensed BCBA
Experience: One to two years related experience
Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and EXCEL, with the ability to acquire additional computer skills related to APSCN, COGNOS with minimum additional training.
Certificates & Licenses: Minimum of a Master’s degree required.
Other Requirements: Ability to maintain a high percentage of attendance. Many functions of the job are time sensitive dealing with Stimulus money and other sources of funding, therefore, the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy is necessary.
