Chantilly Family Medicine is a thriving, patient-focused primary care practice dedicated to delivering comprehensive health services to the Chantilly community.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join our established team. This role is integral to providing specialized endocrine care within a family medicine setting, focusing on seamless co-management of chronic conditions, particularly Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, thyroid disorders, and complex hormonal imbalances.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Family Physicians to ensure holistic, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

Consultative Care: Serve as the primary consultant for complex endocrine cases referred internally by Chantilly Family Medicine's primary care providers.

Diabetes Management Focus: Provide expert diagnosis, management, and technology support for patients with diabetes, including initiating and adjusting insulin regimens, interpreting continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data, and prescribing appropriate diabetic medications.

Thyroid Expertise: Perform diagnostic workups for thyroid nodules, interpret thyroid function tests, and manage conditions like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and subclinical thyroid disease. ****

Comprehensive Endocrinology: Diagnose and manage a broad range of endocrine disorders, including adrenal, pituitary, metabolic bone, and reproductive hormone issues.

Collaboration & Education: Participate actively in case conferences and collaborate directly with Family Physicians to create shared treatment plans, ensuring smooth transitions of care and provider education on current endocrine guidelines.

Patient Education: Offer specialized counseling and education to patients regarding their condition, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and self-monitoring techniques, empowering them to actively participate in their health.

Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR), utilizing our established system.

Qualifications Required Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.

Training: Successful completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (ABIM or equivalent).

Licensure: Valid and unrestricted state medical license in Virginia (or eligibility for one).

Preferred Prior experience working in an outpatient or primary care-affiliated setting.

Proficiency with modern diabetes technology (e.g., insulin pumps, CGMs).
