Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult patients. Your expertise will support acute and chronic disease management, preventive health, and health education initiatives. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based protocols, including urgent care and emergency room scenarios.
- Administer injections, perform suturing, and provide procedures.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate care through case management strategies, discharge planning, and collaboration with specialists in areas such as cardiology, gastroenterology, infectious disease care, and behavioral health.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to quality care for remote or underserved populations.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner with board certification from an accredited certifying body (e.g., ANCC or AANP).
- Proven experience in primary care settings with proficiency in medical documentation and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Demonstrated competence in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious diseases, geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and post-acute care.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth; telehealth experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography or laboratory experience.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, sterile technique for suturing, etc....
- Critical care experience preferred.

- During the interview process candidates will be assessed on experience, and those with minimal experience may be hired into our residency program. This program provides all the same benefits but requires more oversight from the supervising physician.
