At The Music Therapy Center of California (MTC), we’re growing—and we’re looking for an experienced Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to step into a key leadership role supporting our team, our interns, and the clients we serve.

The Role: Where Leadership Meets Impact
As a Case Manager & Internship Supervisor, you won’t just carry a caseload—you’ll help shape the clinical excellence of our entire program.
You’ll support therapists, guide interns, and ensure every client receives the highest standard of care.
This role is ideal for someone who:

What You’ll Do: Clinical Leadership
- Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to therapists across settings
- Support treatment planning, interventions, and documentation
- Promote neurodiversity-affirming, client-centered care
- Consult on complex cases and problem-solve alongside the team
Case Management
- Coordinate caseloads, schedules, and service planning
- Support client transitions and family communication
- Maintain high standards of documentation and clinical quality
- Strengthen systems that support excellent care delivery
Internship Supervision
- Supervise and mentor music therapy interns
- Provide feedback, training, and professional development
- Coordinate learning experiences aligned with AMTA standards
Team Development
- Foster a collaborative, supportive culture
- Help therapists grow in skill, confidence, and leadership
- Serve as a bridge between therapists, families, and programs
Who You’ll Serve
Our clients include:
- Neurodivergent individuals (autism, ADHD, and more)
- Individuals with developmental disabilities
- Children, teens, and adults with diverse support needs
Services are provided in:
- Clinic settings
- Community programs
- Schools, facilities, and partner organizations
What You Bring (Required)
- MT-BC (Board Certification in Music Therapy)
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- High attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred
- Experience supervising interns
- Experience with neurodivergent populations
- Experience mentoring clinicians or leading teams
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
