Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic mental health care team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and risk assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring safe administration and monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide psychotherapy services utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and case management for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to promote ongoing wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing psychiatric care standards.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid state licensure and national certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and safety monitoring procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience working in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
