Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including patient histories, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR systems.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, behavioral health interventions, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and medication adherence.
  • Provide Telehealth services to increase accessibility and continuity of mental health care across outpatient and community settings.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health diagnoses, coping strategies, wellness practices, and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical standards.
  • Advocate for patients and families while supporting initiatives focused on mental wellness, crisis prevention, and community outreach.
  • Participate in leadership opportunities, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development within behavioral healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric/mental health experience or specialized behavioral health training.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health treatment modalities.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental or cognitive disorders.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Pay: $104,977.31 - $126,424.29 per year
