BOARD LIAISON

Reports to: Executive Liaison Officer
Status: Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt
Location: Anchorage, AK

JOB SUMMARY: Provide high-level support to the Board of Directors, performing a wide variety of skilled, confidential, and administrative tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion Aleut Values: accountability, transparency, and rigor.
  • Assist with and prepare reports and presentations for the Board by researching, collecting, and analyzing information.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling meetings, teleconferences, and conferences.
  • In collaboration with the General Counsel, maintain official corporate records and documents, including confidential and sensitive corporate, Board, financial, and personnel information.
  • Coordinate travel and lodging arrangements for the Board and its committees.
  • Handle scheduling, preparation, materials, files, and logistics for Board and committee meetings.
  • Assist the General Counsel in preparing and maintaining accurate and compliant corporate notices, agendas, minutes, memorandums, and resolutions for the Board and its committees.
  • Attend Board and committee meetings and prepare accurate notes and records of these meetings.
  • Manage, maintain, and update materials on the Board portal including board and committee packets, resources, and calendars.
  • Track Board expenses and participate in the development of the annual Board budget.
  • Responsible for Board expense report reconciliations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Possess and demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to review, evaluate, and synthesize information.
  • Proficient in Adobe and MS Office Programs including Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, focused, positive attitude, flexible, and proactive.
  • Skilled in utilizing Robert Rules of Order.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in business, administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years’ related experience in an executive support level position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • General office demands.
  • Must be able to travel at least 10% of the time.
  • Must have ability to maintain assigned work hours in a 40+ work hour environment.
  • Must be able to up to 15 lbs at times.
