Bobarista (Bubble Tea Barista)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Bobarista to join our team in Belmont, NC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bubble tea, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience. As a Bobarista, you will be responsible for preparing delicious drinks and ensuring every customer has a great visit.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: Greet and engage with customers in a warm and friendly manner, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
• Drinks and Bubble Waffle preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of bubble teas, bubble waffles, and other beverages according to our recipes, ensuring consistency and high quality.
• Point-of-sale (POS) operation: Accurately take customer orders and process payments using the POS system and cash register.
• Ingredient preparation: Brew teas, cook tapioca pearls (boba), restock toppings and ingredients to ensure smooth operations.
• Cleanliness and sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the counter, food preparation areas, and seating areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Team collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to manage busy periods and ensure prompt and friendly service for all customers.
• Opening and closing procedures: Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking, cleaning, and preparing for the next shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or customer-facing role is a plus, but not required—we will provide training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• A reliable and punctual team player with a strong work ethic.
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
