Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems efficiently to process orders accurately and handle cash or card payments with precision.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and during food handling activities.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and café setup.
• Support sales goals by upselling menu items and promoting new or featured products to enhance the customer experience.
• Clean equipment, counters, and preparation areas.
• Wash utensils and sanitize surfaces.
• Restock ingredients for the next day.
• Take out trash and complete closing checklist.
• Assist with end-of-day inventory checks.

Experience

• Previous barista or drink specialist experience in a café or food service setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization is a plus.
• Experience using POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced retail or food industry environment. Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
