Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Body Shop Controller to oversee daily operations of our auto body repair facility. The ideal candidate will manage workflow, ensure high-quality repairs, control costs, and maintain excellent customer satisfaction while meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily body shop operations and workflow
• Monitor repair quality to ensure compliance with manufacturer and insurance standards
• Manage technicians’ productivity, efficiency, and performance
• Review repair orders, estimates, supplements, and final invoices
• Control costs related to labor, parts, and materials
• Coordinate with insurance companies, suppliers, and customers
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and on-time vehicle delivery
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local laws
• Provide reports on production, KPIs, and profitability to management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Body Shop Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes and estimating systems
• Experience dealing with insurance claims and adjusters
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple jobs under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Computer proficiency (estimating software, MS Office, shop management systems)

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in auto body repair or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an auto body shop environment
• Experience with dealership or high-volume body shops.
