Due to the investment in a new facility, we have a vacancy in our Bodyshop Department for an experienced Welder/ Fabricator to carry out welding repairs and refurbishment work on our fleet of car transporters. Duties of the role will include, assisting the Bodyshop in the car transporter refurbishment programme, welding (MIG+ TIG), working with hydraulics and electrics. Maintaining our current fleet of car transporters.

The Role:

• Hours: Weekly rotational shift patterns: 06:00am – 14:30pm or 13.00pm – 21.00pm. Includes some Saturdays.
• Salary: £21.70 per hour
• Overtime: Saturday at time and half, Sunday + Bank holidays at double time.
• Pension: Nest Pension.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure that you are taking reasonable care of your own health and safety while performing your duties at work.
• To provide assistance to other employees in the fabrication workshop as requested and required.
• To ensure that you are taking reasonable care not to endanger other employees, visitors or members of the public.
• To ensure that storage and cleaning techniques carried out by you are safe to the best of your knowledge.
• To use equipment and tools correctly and for that which they were designed.
• To co-operate with the employer and all issues regarding health and safety.
• To report any dangerous occurrences and uncontrolled to the Bodyshop Manager immediately.
• To ensure that the Bodyshop, fabrication workshop, the fabrication stores and the yard are systematically cleaned on a routine basis

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence
