The Job
We’re looking for someone who can work both behind the coffee bar and on the kitchen line. Some shifts will be breakfast, others dinner—you’ll get to do a bit of everything. One day you might be pulling espresso shots and making lattes, the next you might be cooking up our signature plant-based plates.
What You’ll Do
- Make coffee drinks and teas to order.
- Cook and plate breakfast or dinner dishes.
- Help with prep—chopping veggies, making sauces, keeping the station stocked.
- Keep your work area clean and follow food safety rules.
- Greet guests and answer questions about the menu.
- Pitch in with opening or closing duties.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a barista or line cook (both is great, but we can train the right person).
- Interest in plant-based food and learning new recipes.
- Able to multitask and stay calm when it’s busy.
- Team player who’s happy to help wherever needed.
- Reliable and able to work breakfast or dinner shifts.
- Food Handler’s Card (or willing to get one).

Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, ovens, and coffee machines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent waste
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredients and preparation methods for seasonal or special offerings
- Serve beverages as a barista, crafting espresso drinks, teas, and specialty coffees with consistency
- Support catering orders and special events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Previous experience working in a food service environment such as a restaurant or café is highly preferred
- Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety is essential
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
- Demonstrated skills in menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining standards are advantageous
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food industry best practices for food safety are required
- Experience in catering or serving in high-volume settings will help you excel in this role
- A background in kitchen operations within the food industry will support your success as part of our team
Pay: $18.75 per hour
