Position Summary
The Bomber Operational Lead will support the integration of operational, training, and compliance functions associated across the host base, HQ AFGSC, and other external stakeholders. This role provides coordination, implementation, advisory, and planning support for conventional and nuclear operations, training requirements, systems integration, and timeline management in accordance with higher headquarters guidance.
Key Responsibilities

Support integration of all aspects between the host base and HQ AFGSC.
- Assist with coordination related to Formal Training Unit operations.
- Support integration and synchronization of Operations Squadron functions.
- Support integration and coordination of Operations Support Squadron functions.
- Assist with simulator operations development and coordination.
- Support integration of Technical Order compliance between the host wing, HQ AFGSC, and other required agencies.
- Support integration of Department of the Air Force Instructions compliance across involved organizations.
- Coordinate, implement, advise, and support conventional operations requirements, systems, and timelines in accordance with higher headquarters guidance.
- Coordinate, implement, advise, and support nuclear operations requirements, systems, and timelines in accordance with higher headquarters guidance.
- Support operational and training requirement development and execution associated with bomber mission integration.
- Work across multiple organizations to ensure alignment of operational priorities, training systems, and mission requirements.
- Provide informed recommendations and advisory support to leadership on bomber operational matters, mission integration, and training readiness.
- Assist in resolving cross-functional issues affecting operational bed-down, training integration, and compliance execution.
- Support collaboration between the host wing, command-level stakeholders, and outside agencies involved in operational planning and stand-up.
Requirements
Required Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of USAF B-1B, B-2A, or B-52H qualified bomber aircrew experience.
- Graduate of a Formal Instructor Course, Central Flight Instructor Course, or equivalent USAF Flight Instructor Course in any USAF Major Weapons System (MWS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of USAF bomber operations, training integration, and mission execution requirements.
- Ability to coordinate across operational units, headquarters elements, and external agencies in a complex mission environment.
- Active TS/SCI
Highly Desired Qualifications
- USAF Safety experience.
- Nuclear Surety experience.
- Nuclear Bomber Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) experience.
- USAF aircraft maintenance experience in any aircraft platform.
- USAF Personnel Reliability Program/Personnel Reliability Assurance Program (PRP/PRAP) Manager experience.
- Component Command or equivalent higher-level staff experience.

Strong understanding of bomber operations, operational integration, and training requirements within the USAF.
- Knowledge of conventional and nuclear mission support requirements and associated compliance expectations.
- Ability to interpret and support implementation of Technical Orders and Department of the Air Force Instructions.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operational, training, maintenance, and headquarters organizations.
- Ability to support complex timelines, mission integration efforts, and cross-functional operational initiatives.
- Sound judgment and credibility to advise leadership on mission-critical operational matters.
