DUTIES
This person will be responsible for organizing and maintaining case files for persons placed under bond supervision by the courts. The selected applicant will conduct regularly scheduled meetings with offenders to ensure compliance with the orders of the court and report violations to the appropriate authorities in a timely manner. This person will be responsible for observing urinalysis drug testing and monitoring of alcohol monitoring devices as ordered by the Court. Courtroom appearance and testimony based on this monitoring may also be required. Utilizes computerized data entry equipment and various word processing programs and helps to maintain files to document all contacts with probationers. Attends necessary court proceedings, maintains relationships with courts and testifies as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
Proficient in the use of basic computer technology including data processing and other office machines such as copiers, fax machines and 10-key.
EDUCATION:
Interested candidates must possess a High school diploma or GED certificate.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The primary responsibility of this job will be to monitor same sex urine samples for drug testing by accompanying male offenders in the restroom to ensure no circumvention by offender and to analyze the rapid test results. Therefore, the applicant must be a male and at least 18 years of age. Background investigation of prospective employees will be conducted.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The incumbent is regularly required to sit, bend, stoop, lift, reach, push and pull. Extensive computer use, which involves keyboarding. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
